One of the most classic hair styles is the bob. It is versatile and fairly easy to maintain, which makes it perfect for those who prefer not to spend hours on their hair. If you have a round face, don't think you can't rock a bob--there are plenty of styling options available.
Picking a Part
No matter what the length of your bob is, choosing the right hair part is key when you have a round face. As a rule, unless you have a slightly round face, avoid using a middle part. Very round faces are only highlighted, not complimented, by a middle part. A side part on the left or right of your head is a safe bet when creating a bob for a round face. Another option is to forgo a part altogether and sweep your hair backwards. Those with round faces can pull this off, as long as you do not have a prominent forehead.
Curls & Waves
Your bob does not have to be straight if you have a round face. If you have curly or wavy hair, you can achieve a cute look by going natural, and having your hair layered to suit your face. Go to a professional to have this done, if you're not comfortable cutting your own hair, and do not attempt to layer your curly or wavy bob while it is straight. A curly or wavy bob is one of the easiest to maintain, because you can simply wash your hair and go. Once you step out of the shower, apply your favorite moisturizer or styling gel, finger-rake your hair, and let it air dry.
Medium-Length Bobs
Those with medium-length hair and round faces have a plethora of choices when it comes to creating a fabulous bob. One option is to have your hair cut in layers with an asymmetrical or straight bang sweeping across your forehead. It is easiest to maintain this look if you have straight or relaxed hair. If you want a more dramatic look, try having your hair layered long in the front, tapering off to a shorter length in the back. Bangs or a side part work well with this type of bob.
The bob is a style round-faced women can wear from the gym to work, and even for a night on the town. If you want to embellish your style, try using decorative clips or a pretty hair band. Don't be afraid to experiment with your bob just because you have a round face.
